light attaches to your girl

invisibly
   she carries something more
infared
that makes you fuzzy warm inside
diffusely
while you bask in her glowing in the moonlight

bronze
her tan pleasantly sultry on the beach
silver
   where the moon stretches
   along aching wavelets
gold
   undertones to her hair
   you haven't seen for years,
   new for the last time,
   where memory folds perception
like origami; no tears, just a beauty
where before were flat paper squares -

forever
the mind of the beholden beholder holds the lovely folds
longingly
as the horizon slides over the sun
and the jets thunder to meet it
the last rays turn the clouds
   briefly golden confectionary
